Grand Theft Impro and Enemies continues its residency at our new home, The Miller, hosted by our friends, the rather wonderful Hoopla

Friday March 07 sees a set from Jack Left Town Angus Dunican, Chazz Redhead, David Simpson, and Scott Oswald – with the story of the greatest band the world has ever known, Jack Left Town. It’s an improvised rock documentary in the spirit of Spinal Tap.

Then GTI will take to the stage with an extraordinary collection of guests…

Lee Simpson – Lee is many people’s favourite improviser – including many who are themselves extremely good at impro. Founder member of Improbable Theatre, Comedy Store Player for over 25 years, member of Paul Merton’s Impro Chums, Lee has improvised on TV in Whose Line is it Anyway? and on the radio in The Masterson Inheritance, which he co-devised. Lee is great.

Pippa Evans – Star of The Now Show, Fast and Loose, Live at the Electric, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and Drunk History She is in Olivier Award–winning West End smash, Showstoppers and cult-hit cult The Sunday Assembly . Pippa is also the alter-ego of monstrous White Wine Witch, Loretta Maine. Her latest solo-show, Same Same But Different, just completed a sell-out run at Soho Theatre.

Lauren Shearing has done stand-up, cabaret, sketch comedy… you name it. As long as those three things are what you name. A Monkey Toast Player, Lauren is also one half (or oneprov) of two-person  improv show (or twoprov), Breaking & Entering. She also appeared in Newsrevue, ITV’s Comedy Cuts, the Edinburgh Fringe and has presented interactive kids shows for CBBC. She has performed with Showstopper and Austentatious.

Phil Whelans – writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover – with whom he did two series of Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth.  Phil has been in It’s Kevin, Brasseye, Preston Front and a number of unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots. He has appeared in Showstopper and is a Monkey Toast player.

Miss this show and you will be unable to take part in any conversations about what this show was like. Is that what you want? IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?
